Cycle phase: Menstruation
Moon phase: New Moon
Time: 5–10 minutes
Place: A quiet room where you can sit or lie undisturbed
This ritual supports deep relaxation of both body and nervous system, helping you to enter the restorative phase of your cycle. When the jaw is tight, the pelvic floor often holds stress too; gently softening the jaw can create a ripple of release through the pelvis. Gentle breath, sound, and movement help regulate the autonomic nervous system, calming the mind, easing the body, and inviting energy to move freely in the womb space. This practice is perfect during menstruation and the new moon, a time for rest, renewal, and turning inward.

✦ 1. Land in your body
Sit comfortably on a cushion or lie down with knees bent. Close your eyes and allow awareness to sink from your head, through your heart, down to your womb. Breathe softly in through the nose, and sigh out through the mouth.
✦ 2. Soften the jaw
Rub your palms together and place them over your cheeks. Exaggerate a yawn and feel the jaw release. On the exhale, let sound come: “aaaah”, “haaaah”, “mmm. ”Massage the point just under your earlobe (the masseter muscle). Every time the jaw softens, the pelvic floor softens too.
✦ 3. Drop into the womb
Place one hand over your heart, one over your lower belly. Inhale and expand into the womb. Exhale and think: I melt, I release.Visualize your womb opening like a flower in the dark soil.
✦ 4. Sound and movement
On the exhale, let vibration rise: “Aaaaah”, “Mmmmmm.”Gently rock the pelvis or circle the hips. Notice any warmth, release, or flow of energy.
✦ 5. Integration
Lie on your back, feet wide, knees resting inwards. Hands resting over your womb, whisper:✨ “I allow softness. I allow rest. I am safe in my body.”
